Hot Summer Nights: Vettes for Veterans

Just because summer has unofficially come to a close, it does not mean that fun events around the Lake of the Ozark are following suite. In the area, there are a number of entertaining events going on throughout the year. To enjoy a beautiful evening with friends and family while taking in all the vehicles, visit Hot Summer Nights on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark. 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. - Columbia Vet Center Outreach RV will be set up for counseling and consultations.

6:00 p.m. – Vettes for Veterans Parade

6:00 p.m. - Eldon Chapter VFW 21 Gun Salute will take place during the parade

6:20 p.m. – Kansas City Flight Group will do a flyover along The Strip

7:30 p.m. – LOZ Community Dance Project will perform a veteran tribute dance along with their regular dance at Luby’s Stage

More About the Parade:

The monthly summertime event, Hot Summer Nights is honoring veterans from the area with a Vettes for Veterans Parade this week. Before the parade, flags will be handed out to the crowd to join in on the festivities. The Lake of the Ozarks Corvette Club has volunteered to drive veterans through the parade route, in their cars.

More About the Event:

Along with a large variety of cars, there will be live music and entertainment available from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. for Hot Summer Nights. From great food to unique shopping, The Strip is the place to be this coming Friday evening. A number of activities geared toward kids helps to make this experience a fun one for the entire family. All makes and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles are welcome to join, there is no registration or fee required.  Hot Summer Nights has been voted best event at the Lake of the Ozarks for 2015/2016, as well as the Missouri Tourism Innovator Award.
